Another Perspective is a 501(c)(3) non-profit started by eastern North Carolina natives. We use innovative methods to raise funds for community-level projects that are inclusive, needed, and promote recreation in the outdoors. The organization launched in 2017. Another Perspective’s flagship fundraiser, the Sarah James Fulcher Redfish Tournament, is an annual event in honor of Sarah James Fulcher - a native of Down East who’s love for the ocean and nature, and her family, inspired a community to come together. This year will be the second year of the tournament. Last year - in 2018 - we raised over $45,000 for a new inclusive play set being installed at Eastern Park in Smyrna, NC. You can find some photos and a summary of last year's tournament and sponsors here.
Another Perspective focuses on inclusive recreation, community development, and conservation. We raise funds for community projects, hold and monitor conservation easements, and help stakeholders plan for their natural resource management and beneficiaries in future generations.
Another Perspective seeks to promote community development and inclusion for all members through recreation, education, and conservation. Using innovative techniques, Another Perspective provides opportunities to meet community needs, be inclusive, and conserve the resources they cherish.
A sustainable, natural world where all community members have access to the outdoors and opportunities for recreation equal to their peers.
